Norfil seeks parents of abandoned child

THE Norfil Foundation Inc., a social welfare agency based in Lapu-Lapu City, is calling the attention of the parents and relatives of a child who is under its care.

Robert Garcia was abandoned by his mother, Elien Portuguez Garcia, at the Mandaue City Hospital 10 hours after his birth on Feb. 15, 2010. Elien’s last known address is in sitio Malibu, barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Robert is now temporarily placed in Norfil Foundation’s licensed foster family.

Norfil requests the parents or relatives of Robert to see or contact social workers Angelina Dungog, Sheryl Gacita or Griffith Riconalla at 340-1170 or 340-5722 from Mondays to Fridays at 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Failure of the parties to appear or claim him within three months will subject the child for legal abandonment through the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
