DTI pledges enough Noche Buena supply products this Christmas season

There are enough supplies of Noche Buena products this holiday season, according to a Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) official on Wednesday.

MANILA, Philippines — There are enough supplies of Noche Buena products this holiday season, according to a Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) official on Wednesday. 

While inflation in the Philippines slightly declined in October, prices of holiday goods are still expected to be higher compared to 2022.

“Ang DTI po everyday kami nagpa-price monitoring sa mga supermarkets and grocery stores. So far, based on our price monitoring reports atsaka ang supplies, there will be sufficient supplies until December 31, 2023, of the Noche Buena products. So nothing to worry about,” said DTI Asec. Amanda Nograles at Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon public briefing.

(The DTI does price monitoring every day in supermarkets and grocery stores. So far, based on our price monitoring reports and of supplies, there will be sufficient supplies until December 31, 2023, of the Noche Buena products. So, nothing to worry about.)

The DTI earlier released its Noche Buena price guide list. While the list is a guide, Nograles urged consumers to report to the agency any retailer that sells beyond the suggested prices.
