Magnitude 4.9 earthquake rocks Anahawan, Southern Leyte
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.9 earthquake shook Anahawan, Southern Leyte on Sunday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake occurred at 9:38 a.m. with a depth of focus of 214 kilometers.

Phivolcs said it was tectonic in origin, with an epicenter recorded east of Anahawan.
