11 Chinese nationals nabbed in Ayala Alabang raid

MANILA, Philippines — Several Chinese nationals were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and gambling violations by operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation during a raid in an upscale village on Friday.

NBI agents swooped down on a residence on Guava Street inside Ayala Alabang Village and arrested 11 Chinese nationals composed of five men, five women, and one minor female, according to the NBI’s report on Friday.

During the raid, NBI personnel seized an unlicensed .45-caliber pistol with a magazine and six rounds, a 9mm pistol with a magazine holding seven rounds, a switchblade knife, and gambling paraphernalia.

Also found were two sports cars and two vans, one without license plates and three bearing fake Ayala Alabang Village Association stickers.
