Bongbong Marcos leaves for APEC meet in US

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is on his way to the United States (US) for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

The President was sent off on Tuesday evening by different Cabinet secretaries at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

Marcos will attend the APEC in San Francisco, California, from November 15 to 17. He will then head to Los Angeles to meet with the local Filipino community there.

During the APEC, Marcos will have different business activities lined up as well.

The President will also travel to Honolulu to meet with Filipinos. In addition to the meeting with the Filipino community, Marcos is set to make a historic visit to the Indo-Pacific command.

A security briefing regarding the situation in the West Philippine Sea is likely during Marcos’ stop in Honolulu.
