LUCENA CITY – A male Chinese allegedly kidnapped in Pasay City over an unpaid debt was found in Batangas City on Friday, November 10, police said Saturday, November 11.

In a report on Saturday, the Region 4A police said one Liu Xin was found around 3 a.m. roaming around the streets in Barangay (village) Ilijan and was brought to the local police station.

According to Xin, he was abducted by four fellow Chinese nationals in Pasay City for his non-payment of a debt amounting to P10 million. The report did not provide details on how Xin accumulated the huge debt.

Police said Xin refused to divulge the name of the company where he works and the details of his supposed abduction.

He claimed that the alleged kidnappers transported him inside a sports utility vehicle but later left him in a still unknown area.

Xin said he walked for almost three hours until he was able to seek help from the residents of Ilijan.

He will be turned over to the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group for proper disposition.
