2 Chinese men abducted in NCR found in Cavite

LUCENA CITY – Two male Chinese nationals allegedly kidnapped in Parañaque and Manila in the National Capital Region (NCR), were found in General Trias City in Cavite province after they sought help on Tuesday from residents there.

In a report on Wednesday, Oct. 18, the Region 4A police said police found around 8 p.m. Wen Zhang Chen, 46, a resident of Santa Cruz in Manila; and Chong Wing Tai, 55, of Concorde Village Sunrise in Parañaque, after they asked for assistance from an employee of a hotel in Barangay Biclatan.

The victims said seven unidentified male Chinese and Filipinos kidnapped them about 9 p.m. on Oct. 16.

They were later brought to a house inside a subdivision in Biclatan, where they stayed for one day, handcuffed and their mouths covered with packaging tapes.

The report said concerned citizens found and helped them seek police assistance at the hotel.

The police did not provide the details of the supposed abduction incident and how the victims escaped from their kidnappers.

The victims were brought to a local hospital for medical check-up before being turned over to the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group for proper disposition.

The police are conducting further investigation.
