MANILA, Philippines — Members of Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) rescued three Chinese women who were allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted by six Chinese men in Cavite province.

In a video from PNP-AKG shared on Saturday, police went to a two-story house in Bacoor, Cavite where they cornered the suspects and found the women with them after receiving confidential information.

“Relax, relax. We are police. You are safe,” the officers told the women during the operation.

According to the PNP-AKG said victims were abducted separately from Dec. 10 to 12. The third victim was abducted around 10 p.m. on Dec. 12 at a casino resort in Pasay City.

The suspects’ arrest came after police received information that the Chinese men were demanding a ransom of up to P1.4 million from the victims’ families.

Suspects reportedly refused to release the victims even after the family followed the suspects’ request.

The names of the victims were withheld in the report as they were possibly raped by the suspects.
