Pagasa: Generally fair weather expected over PH on Friday

MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected in the country this Friday, the state weather bureau reported.

Only partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains will prevail in the Philippines, primarily because of the easterlies and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

“Inaasahan po natin ang medyo mainit na panahon sa Luzon, at ganoon din po sa Visayas at Mindanao,” weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in their morning weather forecast.

“Maganda at maaliwalas na panahon ang inaasahan po natin ngayong araw sa buong bansa, maliban lang po sa mga isolated na mga pag-ulan dulot ng thunderstorms,” he added.

(Good and fair weather is expected today in the whole country, except for isolated rain showers due to thunderstorms.)

Aurelio said that no low-pressure area is being monitored inside the Philippine area of responsibility.

Pagasa also noted that no gale warning was raised over the country’s seaboards, but it still advised sailors to take precautionary measures as thunderstorms occur in the afternoon or night.
