MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out in a residential area in Parañaque City Wednesday morning and damaged around 18 houses, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The BFP said firefighters responded to the fire in Lupang Hinirang Area 2, Fourth Estate, San Antonio, Parañaque City at 8:54 a.m.
The fire reached second alarm, and was eventually extinguished at 10:44 a.m.
BFP – Parañaque City told INQUIRER.net that based on their initial investigation, around 18 residential houses were affected by the fire.

“Eighteen po, more or less,” Fire Officer 3 Miyuki Tuto said.
No fatalities or injuries were reported by the BFP as of posting time.

Around 30 families or 70 individuals were displaced by the blaze that resulted in an estimated P450,000 damage to property.
Initial investigation showed that the fire started on the second floor of one of the houses. Further investigation is ongoing.
