Fire engulfs about 60 homes in Moonwalk, Parañaque city
MANILA, Philippines — Fire burned around 60 houses in Parañaque city on Tuesday morning, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
According to the bureau, at 9:53 a.m., authorities responded to the incident in a residential area in Purok 7, Galatia Street, Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque city.
The situation reached fourth alarm at 10:08 a.m.
It was completely put out at 12:17 noon.
Senior Fire Officer 2 Giovanni Corbes told INQUIRER.net that the blaze started at the second floor of a two-storey shanty — a house made of light materials.

No injuries or casualties were reported.
The incident affected around 120 families or about 360 individuals.
Fire brought about P300,000 worth of damage.
Its cause is being determined as of posting time.
