6 drug suspects yield P288,000 shabu, 2 guns in Laguna busts
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics agents arrested six alleged drug pushers and seized more than P288,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and two illegal firearms in separate operations on Tuesday and Wednesday in Laguna province.
The Region 4A police reported that members of the local police drug enforcement unit in Sta. Rosa City nabbed alias “Ramon” during a buy-bust operation at 11:23 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Sinalhan.
Aside from the two sachets of meth worth P5,440 that were seized from the suspect, the police also found him carrying an undocumented caliber .38 revolver loaded with five bullets inside a sling bag.
Later, the same team of operatives also busted “Mohammad” and “Mary” in another sting operation at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Tagapo.
The duo yielded five sachets of shabu worth P142,140.

In Barangay Dela Paz in Biñan City, policemen arrested “Jhayrobbe” and “Jhed” at 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday after they sold shabu to a poseur buyer.
The suspects yielded 10 sachets of shabu with a government standard price of P90,390.
The arrested suspects, all classified as street-level drug pushers in their respective localities, were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Ramon and Joel will also be charged of violating gun laws and the Omnibus Election Code.
