Student from Pangasinan State University tops fisheries licensure exam

651 out of over 900 examinees pass PRC chem engineering licensure exam electronics technicians

MANILA, Philippines — A student from the Pangasinan State University-Binmaley topped the October 2023 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals.

Adrian Cayabyab passed the exams with an 87.50 percent rating.

He was one of the 716 passers out of 2,124 takers, the Professional Regulatory Board (PRC) said in its announcement on Monday.

Meanwhile, three students from the University of the Philippines Visayas – Allen Araneta,  Klynne Kuizon, and Rizza Guyapale – shared the second spot with a rating of 86.75 percent.

Vanica Boglosa of the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology – Main ranked third with an 86.00 percent rating.

No schools qualified for the top-performing school, as the PRC only lists down schools that had 50 or more examinees and with at least 80 percent passing percentage.

The PRC added that the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of new examinees will be announced later.
