Pagasa says easterlies may cause rainy, cloudy weather on Tuesday

The easterlies will bring rain and overcast skies over several parts of the country on Tuesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will bring rain and overcast skies over several parts of the country on Tuesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Sa Bicol Region and Quezon Province, epekto ng easterlies, asahan ang makulimlim na panahon at kalat kalat na pagulan and thunderstorms sa araw ng Martes,” said Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja in the bureau’s latest forecast.

(In Bicol Region and Quezon Province, due to the easterlies effect, expect cloudy weather and scattered rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday.)

“Sa ilang bahagi ng Southern Luzon, Mimaropa, Calabarzon bahagyang maulap hanggang maulap na kalangitan at mataas na tiyansa ng pagulan lalo na sa hapon at sa gabi dahil sa easterlies,” he added.

(In some parts of Southern Luzon, Mimaropa, Calabarzon expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies and a high chance of rain especially in the afternoon and at night due to easterlies.)

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will have relatively fair weather, excluding the Northern parts of Luzon where light rains are expected due to the northwest monsoon.

On the other hand, the easterlies will likewise bring cloudy skies and rain over Eastern Visayas, as well as the Caraga Region and Davao Oriental in Mindanao.

The rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, while the rest of Mindanao will have fair weather with chances of localized thunderstorms.
