Pagasa: Fair, sweltering weather to prevail over most of PH
MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather or slightly warm weather is seen to prevail over most parts of the country on Monday despite the possible occurrence of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
Based on the early morning bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), such weather conditions are caused by the easterlies, or the warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.
“Generally fair weather, medyo mainit na panahon pa rin ‘yung mararanasan natin partikular na dun sa may bahagi ng Luzon pero asahan pa rin ‘yung mga isolated o pulu-pulong pag-ulan na may kasamang pagkidlat, pagkulog,” said Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina.
(Generally fair weather; we will still experience some hot weather, especially in the Luzon area, but expect isolated or scattered rain accompanied by lightning thunder.)

Pagasa said they do not see any low-pressure areas within and outside the Philippine area of responsibility. Development of a typhoon in the next three days is likewise low, it noted.

As for Batanes and Babuyan Islands, the state weather agency said these areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.
Palawan, on the other hand, may expect overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, Pagasa added.
