MANILA, Philippines — A lane along Gregorio Araneta Avenue in Quezon City is closed for vehicles every 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
The lane is between Ma. Clara and P. Florentino streets northbound, the agency said.
According to the MMDA, the scheduled road closure that started on November 3 will continue for two weeks.
“The activity is to give way to the drilling of board piles for the construction of Skyway Ramp which is part of the Skyway Stage 3 Project,” the MMDA said in its advisory on Friday.
In case of congestion due to high traffic volume, the MMDA said that light vehicles may be rerouted to Sto. Domingo Avenue by allowing motorists to turn left to Quezon Avenue westbound.
“Normal lanes or two lanes shall be provided for the motorists after every scheduled night-time works,” MMDA added.
