MANILA, Philippines — Several senators have cast their votes for 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
Senator Lito Lapid’s office said the lawmaker lined up in a polling precinct at Porac Elementary School in Pampanga when it opened at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, making him the third person to vote there.
Afterwards, the Senator urged candidates to help government officials.
“Ine-expect natin na lalo silang (BSKE winners) makakatulong, lalo na at kami sa Senado ay bukas ang aming mga opisina na tumulong sa mga barangay,” he said.
(We expect BSKE winners to help even more, especially us in Senate, as our offices are open to help the barangays.)
“Sa mga mananalong barangay captain at Sangguniang Kabataan, congratulations! Sa mga hindi papalarin, better luck next time,” he told the candidates.
(To the winning barangay captains and Sangguniang Kabataan, congratulations! To those who will not win, better luck next time.)
