A security guard fatally shoots a colleague following a heated argument in San Mateo, Rizal.

LUCENA CITY — A security guard was shot and killed on Saturday night (October 28) by his fellow guard following a heated argument in San Mateo, Rizal, police said.

The Police Region 4A said in a report Sunday that Anthony Letada, 20, was shot and killed by his colleague identified as one alias “Mark” in a subdivision project in Barangay (village) Guitnang Bayan 2 around 8:30 p.m.

Citing testimonies by two witnesses, the victim and the suspect were in a heated argument that ended in a fistfight.

After the fight, the suspect went to his barracks, grabbed a shotgun, and shot the victim twice in the head.

The gunman fled after the incident and left the victim dead on the spot.
