Metro Manila temperature blows hotter

MANILA, Philippines — The mercury just keeps rising.

Temperature in Manila reached 36.6 degrees Celsius this afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The reading was the highest so far in 2012, breaking Friday’s record of 36.4 degrees Celsius.

Pagasa has been warning the public that summer will even be warmer in May.
