Labanza leads list of Summit winners
PRISAA National Collegiate Games silver medalist Robert Labanza of the University of the Visayas (UV) failed to live up to his billing as he was defeated by Mardie Muaña in the 60-kilogram division of the Summit Fight Night Amateur Boxing Series in Lapu-Lapu City Saturday night.
Muaña scored a 3-0 win against Labanza. Dominiciano Millanes of Lahug also suffered a 3-0 loss to Cherwellan Cantel of Mandaue in their 58kg showdown.
Ritchie Montealto of Consolacion, meanwhile, beat Rolando Lingaw-lingaw of Marang, Bukidnon, 3-0 in the 54kg division.
Other winners were Richard Barrios of Bais City Negros Oriental, Martin Cordova of Bago City Negros Occidental, Christian Bacolod of Mabolo, Jimboy Mayang of Mandaue City, Jeffrey Stella of the Philippine Australian Boxing club, Mervin Lulu of Sultan Kudarat, Ramil Casañares of Pit-os and Vicente Seos-e Jr. of Mandaue./CORRESPONDENT DALE G.
