Pagasa: Tuesday rain showers in Luzon; fair VisMin weather
MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and scattered rain showers are expected in parts of Luzon on Tuesday, while fair weather will prevail over the rest of the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa said that localized thunderstorms and a trough of a low pressure area will bring cloudy and rainy weather in Luzon and possibly in some parts of Visayas and Mindanao from Monday night until Tuesday.
“Para sa lagay ng panahon bukas inaasahan natin dito sa may area sa may Kalayaan Islands yung trough or extension ng LPA posibleng magdala ng scattered rain showers or thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres said.
(Tomorrow, the trough or extension of the LPA is expected to bring scattered rain showers or thunderstorms to the Kalayaan Islands area.)
She added that Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Kalinga, and Isabela might also experience cloudy skies and rainy weather caused by northeasterly surface wind flow, while isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
