Expect good Friday weather in most of PH, says Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Most of the country may experience good weather, in general, this Friday despite some chance of isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms, the state weather agency said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that only the northern portion of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will see cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the low pressure area (LPA) in the West Philippine Sea.
“Itong northern portion ng Palawan, kasama na rin ang Occidental Mindoro ay makararanas ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in the bureau’s morning public report.

Aurelio also said that the rest of the country will have fair weather even if isolated rain showers are likely.
“Itong nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, kasama ang Metro Manila ay makararanas po ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon, maliban lang po sa mga isolated na pag-ulan dahil pa rin sa mga localized thunderstorm,” he said.

Visayas and Mindanao will have similar weather conditions, according to Pagasa. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening are possible in these regions this Friday, the state weather service said.
While Pagasa did not raise any gale warning over the country’s seaboards, sailors were still advised to take precautionary measures as thunderstorms are expected by Friday afternoon and evening.
