MANILA, Philippines — Government operatives arrested four men who yielded P6.8 million worth of suspected crystal meth or “shabu” during a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

In a report on Thursday, PDEA identified the suspects as Saint Carlo Binauhan, Kenn Andrada, Asima Lakman, and Albaina Pudong.

All suspects were arrested by anti-narcotic agents of PDEA Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) and the Baclaran Pasay Police Substation operatives in a joint buy-bust operation conducted in a parking lot along Barangay 76 Zone 10.

Authorities, along with witnesses from the media and barangay hall, confiscated 1 kilo of shabu, amounting to P6.8 million from the four suspects.

The millions worth of narcotics were turned over to the PDEA Calabarzon’s office for documentation, while the suspects are currently under the agency’s custody.

PDEA said they will be facing complaints for violating Section 5 in relation to Section 26, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
