PDEA nabs three, seizes P3.4 million worth of 'shabu' in Cavite buy-bust

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested three individuals in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor, Cavite, on Thursday and confiscated P3.4 million worth of crystal meth, locally known as “shabu.”

PDEA identified the suspects as Marvin Espiritu Dominguez, 30; John Paul Reyes, 26; and Christine Bautista Alvaran, 25.

The three were arrested around 3:10 p.m. at a subdivision in Panapaan 1, Bacoor town.

PDEA said it seized 500 grams of “shabu” with an estimated value of P3,400,000 and a mobile phone from the vehicle used by the suspects.

The confiscated drugs were brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative analysis while the arrested suspects were temporarily detained at the PDEA Jail Facility awaiting the filing of charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

The buy-bust operation was jointly conducted by operatives of PDEA Northern District Office (NDO) in coordination with PDEA Cavite Provincial Office and Bacoor City Police Station.
