CQCU shoots for first win

THE Cebu Queen City United Football Club (CQCU FC) is hoping to nail its first win in the second round of the United Football League Second Division Tournament as it faces Lions Meltique Beef FC this afternoon at the Alabang Country Club football field.

CQCU FC, so far, has only added a point to its tally after bowing to Pachanga FC and drawing its match against Manila All-Japan FC since the second round started early this month.

The Cebuano team is hoping for a repeat of their performance the last time they met the Lions Meltique FC wherein they routed the later 4-1.

Their win against the Lions capped a 7-winning streak after they lost to Pachanga FC in the first round.  CQCU FC currently stands at third place with 26 points equivalent to a win-draw-loss record of 8-2-3.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
