JP morgan survives bihag’s 33-point explosion
ACCENTURE’S Randy Bihag delivered the season’s finest individual performance so far but his impressive outing went to naught as the Sharks yielded a sorry 62-63 loss to the JP Morgan Chase and Co. Bankers last Saturday in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Bihag fired a season-high 33 points, grabbed six rebounds, netted six steals and issued six assists only to see Accenture absorb its third loss in six games.
The Bankers tore the game apart early went on to post a 26-13 halftime lead. The Sharks rallied in the third, where they exploded for 32 points to cut their deficit to just two, 45-47, entering the fourth.
JP Morgan, however, proved to be the steadier squad, displaying enough endgame poise to nail their third win against three losses.
In the other game, the Calltek Trojans snatched their fourth win in five games with a 64-53 triumph over the Qualfon Knights. Jan Pierre Gellez finished with 15 for the Trojans. /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
