Macahilig leads winners in ALA-Cobra boxing
MARJUN Macahilig (11W-1L, 7 KO’s) of Aklan beat Allan Doronilla (7W-5L) by technical knockout in the eighth round of the main event of the ALA–Cobra Energy Drink “Tunay na Lakas” Boxing Series at the Calape Cultural Center in Calape, Bohol last Saturday.
The win was Macahilig’s sixth straight since losing to Fernando Ocon by majority decision last year. He improved his record to 11 wins, one loss with 7 wins coming by way of knockouts.
Doronilla, meanwhile dropped his record to 7-5 (win-loss).
Arthur ‘El Matador’ Villanueva also won by TKO in the sixth round over Rosel Alim.

In another fight, Von Minoza beat Leonard Guardiano by knockout in the 1:39 mark of the sixth round.
Jimmy Paypa won by unanimous decision after six rounds against Pedro Balaba. Ivor Lastrilla also won by unanimous decision against Richin Rosales and Jordan Catubay won his pro debut via unanimous decision against Rizaldy Medel. /Correspondent Rene Bonsubre Jr.
