Melligen gets new foe
TOP Rank Welterweight prospect Mark “Mighty” Melligen of the ALA Boxing Gym will facing a new foe in his fight on July 1 at the Freeman Coliseum in Texas, USA.
This after his original scheduled opponent, Mexican Freddy Hernandez, was replaced by Argentinian Sebastian Andres Lujan.
Hernandez suffered an injury in the middle of his training in Mexico, resulting to his replacement.
Melligen won over Mexican Gabriel Martinez last Feb. 19 in Las Vegas via a unanimous decision in the 147lb category. It was his fifth straight win in a span of just a year.
Melligen fought nine of his last ten fights either in Mexico or in the United States under Top Rank, losing only once to Michel Rosales.
Replacement Lujan is considered to be Melligen’s toughest opponent to date. The Argentenian veteran boasts of a very impressive resume.
