MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Thursday said it is working to verify the details of a viral video where a netizen recorded a major road allegedly being closed off to let Vice President Sara Duterte pass.
In a video posted by former Bayan Muna solon Teddy Casiño on Twitter, an unidentified person had asked a police officer what was causing traffic in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.

“May dadaan po tayong VIP (A VIP will be passing through),” the police officer said.
The man capturing the video can be heard asking who the VIP was, to which the officer responded, “Si VP (The VP).”
“So sinara niyo ‘yung Commonwealth para dumaan si VP Sara? (So you closed Commonwealth so that VP Sara could pass?)” the man taking the video asked.
Casiño said that the video was forwarded to him by a former military personnel.
When asked for a comment about the video, the OVP told INQUIRER.net that they were verifying the details of the incident.
“OVP is trying to find out details of the video. That’s the only thing that we can say now,” said the Office in a message.
To recall, Sara Duterte has been in Agusan del Norte since Wednesday, where she attended the 122nd Police Service Anniversary of the Philippine National Police Regional Office 13, as well as the World Teachers’ Day Celebration on Thursday.
