PNP reshuffles 4 ranking officials

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. reassigned four ranking officials to new posts effective Monday, October 2. 

Firearms and Explosive Office (FEO) chief Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas was appointed acting director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A (Calabarzon – Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon).

Lucas will replace Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces, who is set to retire on October 15.  

Taking over Lucas’ post as FEO chief in an acting capacity is Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada.

Meanwhile, PNP-Engineering Services (ES) chief Brig. Gen. Ricardo Layug Jr. will become the acting regional director of PRO 10 (Northern Mindanao). 

Col. Florendo Gerdan Jr. will be the officer-in-charge of PNP-ES.
