MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out in a storage facility in G. Molina Street, Bagbaguin, Valenzuela City, on Thursday afternoon, and authorities are still trying to put out the blaze, the Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) reported.
BFP-NCR said that the affected establishment is from Herco Trading Inc.
According to the bureau, the first alarm was raised at 12:30 p.m., and the fire quickly reached its fifth alarm by 1:35 p.m.
Authorities declared it “Task Force Alpha” or the sixth alarm at 2:03 p.m. They then raised it to “Task Force Bravo” at 3:40 p.m.
BFP said 33 firetrucks are already at the scene and that the fire has not yet been declared “under control.”
No injuries were recorded as of this writing.
Meanwhile, according to the Valenzuela City government, a total of 93 families or 354 individuals affected by the fire were evacuated to the Mariano Elementary School, Old Barangay Hall of Bagbaguin, and Paso de Blas 3S Center.
