MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday reminded a fresh batch of new generals in the Philippine National Police (PNP) of the government’s “zero tolerance policy for corruption and human rights abuses.”
At the ceremony for the oath-taking of the promoted PNP officers in Malacañang, Marcos prodded them to keep the organization’s pride by being upright.
“It is imperative that we reiterate our zero-tolerance policy for corruption and human rights abuses within the PNP and, in that matter, all of government,” Marcos said in his speech.
