‘Shabu’ worth P3.5 million seized from 2 suspects in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines — Officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group and the Muntinlupa City Police arrested two individuals for possession of illegal methamphetamine or “shabu” on Friday evening.

The suspects were identified as James Regonay and Dante Cleofe, who are both residents of Muntinlupa City.

Authorities recovered a plastic sachet containing 25 grams of shabu, two other plastic containers with an estimated 500 grams of shabu, a cell phone, two coin pouches, drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.

The total value of the confiscated drugs is estimated to be around P3.5 million.

The illegal drugs were turned over to the PNP Forensic Group in Camp Crame, while the suspects are in the custody of the Muntinlupa City Police.

The two will be facing criminal complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
