Gov’t launches service caravans in 4 provinces

MANILA, Philippines —  The government simultaneously launched caravans providing accessible government services in four different provinces on Saturday.

The caravan called “Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair” commenced in Ilocos Norte, Leyte, Davao de Oro, and Camarines Sur.

“Ang programang ito ay isa lamang sa mga unang hakbangin ng pamahalaan upang magkaroon ng bagong pag-asa at bagong simula ang mga Pilipino,” President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said in Camarines Sur where he attended the launch.

(This program is just one of the government’s first steps to provide new hope and beginnings for Filipinos.)

According to President Marcos, different government agencies will be gathering in one place to provide the necessary assistance and information that those in the provinces need.

The services which were made available during the launch are the following:

“Lahat ito ay puwedeng mag-apply dito upang hindi na ninyo kailangan pang lumayo para magkaroon ng mga ito,” the President added.

(Everyone can apply for all of these without needing to travel far.)

Aside from the services mentioned, the government also extended aid to the people in the provinces.

According to the Palace, the Department of Agriculture, the Philippine Coconut Authority, the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, and the National Dairy Authority distributed farming machinery and equipment to the farmers.

The Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources, on the other hand, distributed fish cage packages and motorized boats to the fisherfolk, while the Department of Health provided wheelchairs to those who were in need of them.

Meanwhile, Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Araneta Marcos III was in Ilocos Norte to kick off the services fair, while Speaker Martin Romualdez was in Leyte and Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo was in Davao de Oro.

The Palace said that the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair will utilize almost P1 billion for the convergence of government services aimed at reaching various communities within the country.
