CITIZENS’ CALL

Residents cry discrimination

/ 10:54 PM June 26, 2011

Calling the attention of Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, Representative Trisha Bonoan and officials of Barangay 443 Zone 44 in Sampaloc, Manila. Please look into the plight of residents on Sobriedad Street (from the corner of Miguelin to Algeciras Street). All the side streets have been repaired and elevated except the stretch I mentioned. Hence, that area has become a catch basin during the rainy season. Why are the residents there being discriminated against?—Malou Santiago, Sampaloc, Manila

Leak plugged

This is in reference to the report published on June 20 about a leak in front of Capitol Street on Quirino Highway, Barangay Baesa, in Quezon City. We are pleased to report that the leak was repaired and restored on June 22. We hope that the public will continue to work with us in our efforts to bring down water losses in our concession area.—Cherubim G. Ocampo-Mojica, Maynilad Corporate Communications head
