Pastor, cop slain in Quezon City
A pastor and a policeman were killed in separate shootings in Quezon City, police said.
The slain pastor, Wilfredo Germedia, 32, was shot by two gunmen on Wednesday night while in the company of his teenage daughter in front of a store in Barangay (village) Commonwealth.
Also a newspaper dealer residing in Rodriguez, Rizal province, the victim was then in Quezon City to collect payments from clients.

In another incident, Senior Police Officer 1 Ivan Roy Atilano, 32, died in an ambush in Barangay Pasong Tamo at around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Atilano, of the QC Police District’s Station 12, was shot just after getting off a tricycle by a lone attacker who covered his face with a towel.—Nancy C. Carvajal
