BATANGAS—A farmer was killed and his wife was wounded when unidentified gunmen shot them while they were traveling on a motorcycle in Balayan, Batangas, on Tuesday, police said Thursday.

SPO3 Gomer De Guzman, chief investigator of the Balayan police, said Fernando Rodriguez, 51, was dead on the spot due to multiple bullet wounds while his wife Yolanda, 46, suffered a bullet wound in the abdomen.

The couple was leaving a village where they watched a softball game when they were attacked by the gunmen who were on board another motorcycle. Marrah Erika Lesaba, Inquirer Southern Luzon
