MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) on Wednesday said it received information that five people were injured following a magnitude 6.3 earthquake off Cagayan province.
The OCD mentioned in a report that five individuals were hurt after a wall collapsed in Calayan town.
Two of the victims suffered brain trauma and head concussion while three others sustained minor injuries.
No report of death has reached the OCD, based on the report released Wednesday.
The OCD likewise said that no families or individuals were evacuated following the 6.3-magnitude quake that shook Cagayan’s Dalupiri Island at 7:03 p.m. on Tuesday.
No report of major damage to infrastructure was also received by the OCD as of this writing.
The Tuesday night temblor was felt in parts of the Ilocos Region as well as Aurora province in Central Luzon (Region 3).
Dalupiri Island was also shaken by a magnitude 4.9 earthquake on Tuesday morning.
