CA confirms Teodoro as DND chief, 11 AFP officers’ promotion

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the selection of Gilberto Teodoro Jr. as Secretary of the Department of National Defense (DND).

It also authorized the promotion of 11 generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Below is the list of the military officials who secured the approval of the CA:

• Jose Jesus Luntok, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Ramon Flores, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Dennis Pacis, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Peter Jempsun de Guzman, to the rank of Commodore
• Nasser Lidasan, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Benedict Balaba, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Steve Crespillo, to the rank of Lieutenant General
• Arvin Lagamon, to the rank of Major General
• Ivan Papera, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Lloyd Cabacuñgan, to the rank of Brigadier General
• Fernando Ventura, to the rank of Brigadier General
