PRC releases electrical engineer, master electrician board exam results
MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday announced that 1,218 out of 3,945 examinees passed the Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examinations, while 800 out of 1,490 passed the Master Electricians Licensure Examinations, both held in September 2023.
There was no top-performing school for the licensure exam for electrical engineers, as the PRC counts only the schools with 50 or more examinees, and with at least an 80 percent passing rate.
Meanwhile, the top-performing school for the master electrician licensure examinations was Bohol Island State University – Tagbilaran, with 56 passers out of 68 examinees, a passing percentage of 82.35%.
Timothy Regienald Zepeda from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños was the topnotcher for the licensure exam for electrical engineers, garnering a 90.95 rating, followed by Prince Ian Cruz from Technological University of the Philippines – Manila (90.65), and Christian Huenda from Capiz State University (CIT)(PSPC) – Main Campus (90.05).
Prince Ian Cruz topped the master electrician licensure exams with a 94.00% rating, followed by Ersan Natuel and Jerome Bongcay, from the STI West Negros University and Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc. – Canlubang (91.50) and Rogand Andaya from the Northwest Samar State University – Canlubang (90.50).
