MANILA, Philippines — A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 hit Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Friday.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the quake struck Davao Occidental at 3:20 a.m., with a 149-kilometer depth of focus and tectonic origin.
Intensity 1 was felt in Malungon, Sarangani, Phivolcs said in its earthquake bulletin.
There is no reported damage as of this writing, but the agency said aftershocks are still expected.
