2 brothers held in Lucena City drug bust

LUCENA CITY – Police anti-narcotics agents arrested on Friday (Sept. 1) two brothers in this city and seized more than P80,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth).

Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, said the suspects Malvin Cabral, 47, and his sibling, Marlon, 45, both residents of Barangay (village) Cotta, were nabbed during a buy-bust operation at 5:45 p.m. in Barangay Ibabang Iyam.

Authorities seized six sachets of meth with a street value of P80,580.

The local police classified the suspects as SLI (street-level individuals) on its drug watchlist.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
