Manila Water Foundation and P&G Philippines led a nine-stop caravan in different communities, healthcare, and social development institutions in Cebu to hand over health and wellness products to over 7,000 individuals. This is part of the Foundation’s Health in our Hands program that promotes hand hygiene as key to healthy living.

MANILA, Philippines — Bringing the comforts of home to families and institutions, Manila Water Foundation and Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines led a nine-stop caravan that handed out hair care and fabric care products for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) families and social development programs in Cebu.

Agos Puso at Kalinga, the synergy project of Manila Water Foundation (MWF) and P&G Philippines, demonstrates the integration of premium products with programs on water access, sanitation and hygiene or WASH to promote health and well-being.

Manila Water Foundation, in partnership with the Cebu Manila Water Development Inc, and Cebu Manila Water Development Foundation, led the handover of products for the benefit of 7,000 individuals starting with the DSWD 4Ps families in the Cebu Province.

Heads of households of 4Ps families in the municipalities of Carmen, Consolacion, Liloan, and then with partner organizations in Cebu City were delighted to receive blue bags full and heavy with the donated products. The partners brought home months’ worth of hair care and fabric care products.

In his message, Consolacion Municipal Administrator Benjamin Tibon, who represented Consolacion Municipal Mayor Teresa Alegado, thanked Manila Water Foundation and P&G Philippines.

“Daghang salamat sa P&G at MWF kay kini nga mga ayuda makatabang nga makatigom gyud ang mga 4Ps aron di na sila mugasto labi nakarong musugod na ang ting-eskwela. Humot ug limpyo gyud ang ilang sinina sa pamilya,” he said.

(We thank P&G and MWF for this support, the 4Ps families can save up and lessen expenses, especially since classes will soon start. The family’s clothing will surely smell fresh and clean.)

Manila Water Foundation reminded the DSWD 4Ps families of the importance of hygiene by reminding the heads of household on the critical times of hand washing and the 7 Steps to Proper Handwashing. This is part of MWF’s Health in our Hands program that promotes hand hygiene as key to healthy living.

The Agos Puso at Kalinga caravan handed over boxes of Ariel for the family partners and social development programs of the Basilica del Sto. Niño Children’s Welfare Foundation, Inc., and the Sto. Niño de Cebu Augustinian Social Pastoral Foundation Inc. The elderly residents of the Missionaries of Charity Gasa sa Gugma (Gift of Love) Home for the Dying Destitute, and the patients at the Cebu Cancer Institute and Kythe Foundation Cebu were also reached out to by the Agos Puso at Kalinga caravan of P&G Philippines and Manila Water Foundation.
