BAGUIO CITY, Philippines—The Supreme Court decision to  allow another appeal by  the by Flight Attendants and Stewards’ Association of the Philippines’ (FASAP) will  only prolong the agony of Philippine Airlines (PAL) employees, a spokesman  said.

“The way I am looking at it now, technically that is prolonging the agony because they have to act on it,” FASAP spokesperson Ding Dreyfus told reporters.

Dreyfus said they cannot expect any ruling from the Supreme Court because they have to wait for a comment from PAL within 10 days upon receipt of the high court’s resolution.

The court gave PAL 10 days upon receipt of the resolution to comment.

Dreyfus said it was retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Santiago Kapunan Sr. who filed the second motion for reconsideration.

“The second motion for reconsideration was the one acted upon by the court. I do not really have the details of the second motion for reconsideration,” said the spokesman.

Voting 7-2, the high court denied last month FASAP’s motion to reopen the labor case between FASAP and PAL.
