PNP: NCR’s most wanted criminal facing a rape case nabbed in Antipolo
MANILA, Philippines — A 54-year-old man, tagged as one of the most wanted persons in the National Capital Region, was arrested in a joint operation of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday in Antipolo, Rizal.
Police said on Thursday night that the accused had been a subject of a warrant of arrest from Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 48 for Qualified Rape since 2015.
He was charged with sexual abuse of his niece, who was a minor, in 2003.
The offender was also convicted in 2011 for Acts of Lasciviousness.
He went into hiding for eight years.

Article continues after this advertisement“This achievement serves as a warning to all other fugitives that they can never escape from the long hand of the law,” PNP National Capital Region Police Office acting director Police Brigadier General Jose Nartatez Jr. said.
The criminal was apprehended in an operation conducted by various police teams.
These groups included members of the Regional Special Operations Group – Regional Intelligence Division, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Northern Police District Field Unit and Special Action Force.
