Filipino-American June Carlo Santos and his family barely escaped the wildfires that ravaged Lahaina town in Maui, Hawaii.
In an interview with INQUIRER.net, Santos recalls their harrowing experience while getting stranded in their vehicle while their surroundings burn.
“Dumating ako sa bahay, sa site, sa buong town talaga lahat sunog. Mga sasakyan, appliances, everything down, walang natira talaga,” he says.
