A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was found hanging dead from a tree in barangay Suba-Basbas, Lapu-Lapu City.
Police said a possible breakup with his girlfriend may have drove Aerus Tampos to commit suicide.
The man used a nylon rope in hanging himself, said police.
James Tampos, Aerus’ elder brother, told police that the man was visited by his girlfriend in their home last Sunday night.
James said the couple had a serious talk.
James said his brother looked dejected when his girlfriend left.
James said it was 5:30 a.m. yesterday when he saw his brother hanging by the neck from a kalachuchi tree.
Paramedics from the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation rushed the man to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital but the attending doctors declared him dead./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
