No storms expected in coming days

MANILA, Philippines — No storm is expected to enter the country in the coming weeks, but the southwest monsoon may continue to affect Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Sunday.

As the government continued to tally the damage caused by Typhoons Egay and Falcon, water managers reported that Ambuklao and Binga dams in Benguet province are still releasing water, each with one gate open as of the 6 a.m. update.

Ambuklao is 0.62 meters above its normal high water level of 752 meters while Binga is 0.15 meters above the 575 meters normal level.
