MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) advised motorists to avoid Edsa from 10 p.m. Friday until August 9, as massive road repairs would be underway.

“Mamaya pong gabi, starting 10 PM, August 4 up to August 9 po ng umaga, please avoid Edsa. Because from Buendia-EDSA up to Balintawak, there will be road repairs, may road reblocking and meron din pong asphalt overlaying na gagawin ang mga contractors ng DPWH [Department of Public Works and Highways] so ginawa ponating one time, big-time ito,” Director of the MMDA’s Traffic Enforcement Group Victor Nunez said on Friday.
