Pagasa: ‘Habagat’ to trigger rains in Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — Rain showers due to the enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat” are expected in Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday afternoon.
“Mabagal pa ring kumikilos palayo sa ating area of responsibility ang dating bagyong si Falcon kaya nae-enhance niya pa rin ang habagat na nakakaapekto pa rin sa buong bahagi ng Luzon,” said Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren Jorda.
(Tropical cyclone Falcon is still slowly moving away from our area of responsibility and is enhancing the southwest monsoon which is affecting the entire Luzon.)
Cloudy skies and rains are forecast in Metro Manila, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, the rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon. Palawan) regions due to the southwest monsoon.
